Book Promotion: “We Will Not Give Up Trieste. Yugoslavia and the Trieste Question 1945–1954”

The Museum of Yugoslavia invites you to the promotion of the book “We Will Not Give Up Trieste. Yugoslavia and the Trieste Question 1945–1954” by Dr. Federico Tenca Montini, Research Fellow at the Science and Research Centre Koper, on Tuesday, October 21, at 6 p.m.
Based on extensive archival material and numerous sources, the book examines one of the most sensitive issues of post-war Yugoslav diplomacy – the Trieste question – and sheds light on how ideological, political, and international relations were reflected in Yugoslavia’s borders, identity, and international position between 1945 and 1954. The author analyzes key actors, negotiations, and the social reception of the slogan “We Will Not Give Up Trieste,” which became a symbol of Yugoslav unity and resistance to external pressures.
