In 1979, during a tour of the exhibition at the May 25 Museum, where all his decorations were exhibited, Tito emphasized a medal which rank and importance was not related to the material it was made of – the Medal of Guerrilla. In the war that Indonesian people fought against the colonizers 1945-1949, this medal – a symbol of freedom – was made of unexploded enemy grenade during one of the first actions of Indonesian guerrillas.
