How we preserved Yugoslavia – heritage from the period 1934-1941″ in museum and private collections

On the occasion of the Statehood Day of the Republic of Serbia, on February 15, 2025, at 2.00 p.m., the Museum of Yugoslavia is organising a panel discussion entitled “How we preserved Yugoslavia – heritage from the period 1934-1941″ in museum and private collections”. Presentations by curators, collectors and experts from Serbia and the region will offer an insight into how collective memory was shaped through institutional and individual collecting.  The discussion will open questions about the fate and significance of tangible and intangible heritage from the period between the assassination of King Alexander I and the beginning of World War II.

The panel will take place in the cinema hall of the Museum of Yugoslavia, at 2.00 p.m., and the audience will have the opportunity to actively participate in the discussion by asking questions and sharing their knowledge and experiences.

After the discussion, at 4.00 p.m., visitors will be offered an expert guided tour of the exhibition “Protect (my) Yugoslavia”.
