SITE OF THE MUSEUM OF YUGOSLAVIA DECLARED THE BEST IN THE FIELD OF EDUCATION AND CULTURE

The Museum of Yugoslavia won the award within the annual selection of the PC Press magazine, “Top 50 – the best online things in 2020”, for the best site in the category of Education and Culture. The award was received by Neda Knežević, director of the Museum, and Dušan Jevtić, ICT Manager.

For 24 years, PC Press magazine has been making a selection of the Top 50 most noticed sites, applications and accounts on social networks in Serbia, which it rewards having in mind the quality of their content, their design, functionality and up-to-dateness. This year, the Museum of Yugoslavia was among the winners because of its “surprisingly modernly conceived site” that commendably preserves the Yugoslav cultural heritage, as, among other things, the organizers pointed out in the explanation of the award.

“On behalf of the team of the Museum of Yugoslavia, it is my pleasure to receive this significant recognition. I would like to thank PC Press for recognizing the efforts of the Museum of Yugoslavia in presenting its rich fund and numerous educational programs in an up-to-date and relevant manner in the online environment. I am grateful to my team for the efforts they are making to keep the Museum’s website on par with those of the leading European museums,” said the Museum’s director, Neda Knežević, in her address during the award ceremony.

This year’s awards were presented in the categories of News and Media, eCommerce, Business and Social Services, Education and Culture, Home and Entertainment, Sports and Tourism, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube and Mobile Applications, several special awards, as well as an audience award.
